GUNPOWDER MAGAZINE AND BARRACKS

The Gunpowder magazine, a half dome shaped building with a concrete wall and a robust iron gate, was built a due distance away from the Amalfi Battery. Some of its equipment is still intact including the original metal doors and windows and some of its decauville rail tracks. The building still standing next to it was a barracks for the Gunpowder magazine's guards.

Text from the book: "Le Fortificazioni - Frammenti di guerra".
